A better world if possible!

Last March, Women’s Month was celebrated. All my life I have been very involved in charitable causes helping and contributing in the issues of empowerment of women; in areas of mental health, diseases, among others.

As a representative of our Shopping Guide section, I was invited to a special event in New York City, where survivors of domestic violence were celebrated. Because of that invitation and due to the great importance of our involvement in our community, especially to support us among Latinos meeting our needs; I wanted to share some charitable causes in which you can involve and support, either with your time, raising awareness about the issue, or monetarily donating or buying the products they sell for fundraising. Check out some below.

1. Purple star – Domestic violence program that offers non-invasive beauty treatments at no cost to victims.

Instagram: @renewesthetics

Idalis Bailey, CEO of the Renew Esthetics MediSpa aesthetic clinic in Astoria NY, was the creator of this important initiative for victims of domestic violence. In commitment to the community, your organization holds an event in conjunction with the VIP Renew Esthetics sponsors and CeniaNY to celebrate women’s month and the Purple Star program to benefit women and men who have suffered from domestic violence. In addition, for the event, they had CeniaNY as the VIP hosting who donated the dresses for the girls to parade them in the Beauty Runway which also took place in the CeniaNY Showroom.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) threatens the physical and mental health of individuals and their families. Police officers respond to thousands of 911 calls on this issue daily, including IPV deaths. Although men can be victims of IPV, the majority of documented cases are against women. Violence within a relationship is usually a hidden fact. Idalis Bailey’s goal with her Renew Esthetics MediSpa aesthetic and program is to make an impact in our Latino community by having 2 new patients each month. They also offer monthly workshops to help them in their personal development thanks to the contribution of a group of professionals and entrepreneurs who are committed to giving back to the community.

If you are ready and ready to invest in yourself, you should also think that you will make a great contribution to this domestic violence program making a big difference, using the services of aesthetics and sharing information about this program with your acquaintances.
