Samsung had never wanted to lower its standards from the past, even though it was pounded by a variety of smartphones that offer qualified specifications at low prices.
Samsung is launching the Samsung Galaxy A51 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro are in the same price range. Even though Samsung is actually cleaning up through the Galaxy A51, but is this device still worth considering compared to the Redmi Note 8 Pro, which also just launched in early 2020?
At first glance, the Galaxy A51 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will look very different. Both of these devices rely on the choice of colors and designs specifically designed by the developer company.
The most obvious difference lies in the back cover where the Galaxy A51 with a larger size puts the main camera in the upper left corner while the Redmi Note 8 Pro puts it in the middle.
In addition, the rear body of the Galaxy A51 does not show the fingerprint scanner sensor because it has used an integrated sensor on the screen while the Redmi Note 8 Pro still shows it under the camera configuration.
The composition of the cameras offered on each of the back covers is also nothing at all. Redmi Note 8 Pro wins the main lens, while the Galaxy A51 wins the additional lens.
In detail, the Galaxy A51 in this case has a 48 MP + ultra-wide camera 12 MP + macro 5 MP + 5 MP depth while the Redmi Note 8 Pro has 64 MP + ultra-wide 8 MP + macro 2 MP + portrait 2 MP.
The superiority of the additional lens of the Galaxy A51 is also interestingly strengthened by the superiority of the front camera, which has 32 MP resolution when the Redmi Note 8 Pro still has a 20 MP front camera.
Galaxy A51 and Redmi Note 8 Pro also have very big differences in the technology and screen size used. The Galaxy A51 has a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED screen while the Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 6.3 inch IPS screen.
Even though it is outsized in size, the Redmi Note 8 Pro screen has additional features that are well worth considering like the screen protector layer Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and certification from TÜV Rheinland.
The difference between the Galaxy A51 and Redmi Note 8 Pro does not only go to the design and camera side because they also have the most fundamental differences in the performance sector that they offer.
Like some of its predecessors in the Galaxy A-line, the Galaxy A51 still relies upon Samsung Exynos 9611 SoC, while Redmi Note 8 Pro has brought a special gaming SoC from MediaTek, viz MediaTek Helio G90T.
Needless to say, the SoC used by Redmi Note 8 Pro has better capabilities compared to Exynos 9611. But when viewed from its efficiency, the Exynos 9611 with 10 nm fabrication will be more economical than the Helio G90T which has 12nm fabrication.
Fortunately, Xiaomi seems to know this, so the Redmi Note 8 Pro is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery capacity. This capacity is calculated to be greater than the Galaxy A51 battery, which only has a capacity of 4,000mAh.
With a larger battery, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is also equipped with 18 watt fast charging support. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A51 is only equipped with 15 watts of fast charging technology, which is somewhat slower.
The next difference, the Galaxy A51 and Redmi Note 8 Pro have different operating systems. Which in this case, Galaxy A51 already uses Android 10 in One UI 2 while Redmi Note 8 Pro still uses Android 9 in MIUI 10.
